“DRIFT” Sculptural Furniture Inspired by Glaciers and the Earth

“DRIFT” Sculptural Furniture Inspired by Glaciers and the Earth

Brooklyn-based contemporary designer Fernando Mastrangelo has unveiled his latest project titled: “DRIFT”.

Comprised of several sculptural pieces, “DRIFT” derives its inspiration from the natural landscape. Motivational sources include the Grand Canyon, where layers of earth helped form the basis of Mastrangelo’s sand-cast works, and Patagonia, where “DRIFT” borrows its glacial-inspired color palette. Each piece in the collection – which includes a sofa, coffee table, mirror, bench and sand paintings – is produced in extremely limited quantities.
