Zafirro’s Sapphire Blade Razor
Design company Zafirro have come up with an all-new white sapphire blade which promises the closest shave possible, and comes in the form of an ultra-sharp razor.
Made from one of the hardest and most durable substances on the planet and with a life of up to one year, the brains behind the blade first produced Zafirro Iridium, which retailed at $100,000, just before they created the just as pricey Zafirro Gold for $18,000.
But not to fear, the Kickstarter-funded campaign has brought their costs down to a much more reasonable $199. Using unique materials, the razor is more than 10x sharper than a surgeon’s scalpel and about 5,000 times smaller than the width of a human hair.
